Kevin McCann serves as a senior attorney with 35 years of combined experience in complex federal investigations, criminal defense, civil litigation, corporate counsel, estate planning, and probate.

Mr. McCann brings a rare perspective to the practice of law: a 25-year career as a federal agent before he became an attorney.

Mr. McCann retired as a supervisory special agent serving 10 years with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and 15 years with the U.S. Department of Justice. For eight of those years he held command and management roles, including Resident Agent in Charge of the ATF Orlando Field Office. Throughout his career he investigated thousands of complex criminal cases and worked alongside prosecutors on hundreds of federal and state prosecutions.

Since entering private practice in 2016, Mr. McCann has applied that background across a broad range of legal matters. He serves as corporate counsel to architectural and engineering firms, handles civil and commercial litigation,  and represents clients in criminal defense matters, including during a period of time as a contract Assistant Public Defender.

That experience shapes how he represents clients today. Mr. McCann understands how investigations and cases are built from the inside: how evidence is gathered, how cases are assembled, and where they are most likely to fall apart. He uses that knowledge to test the government's evidence, to find the gaps in an opposing party's case, and to build the strongest possible position for his clients.

Mr. McCann earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and his bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from Fairfield University. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
